Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 7th meeting of 2022

The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (11 April) held its 7th meeting of 2022, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €5 base metal collector coin under the title ‘Fauna and flora in Slovakia – the Tatra chamois’.
The coin is made from common brass (63% copper and 37% zinc), weighs 19.1 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Karol Ličko and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the coin is due to go on sale in June 2022.
