Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 19th meeting of 2022

The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (25 October) held its 19th meeting of 2022, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.

The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €10 silver collector coin commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Krista Bendová.

The coin is made from an alloy of silver (90%) and copper (10%), weighs 18 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Karol Ličko (obverse) and Štefan Novotný (reverse) the coin has been produced by the Kremnica Mint and is due to go on sale in January 2023.

The Bank Board discussed and approved a document entitled ‘Proposal for the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between the EBA, ECB, NBS and central banks of Member States on the reporting of payment fraud data’. The Memorandum is intended to streamline the flow of payment fraud data within the European Economic Area.
