It is not the competence of the NBS to protect bank deposits. It falls within the competence of the Deposit Protection Fund, of which the NBS is only a shareholder.  More information on which banks or branches of foreign banks operating in Slovakia are subject to its protection can be found on the website  the Deposit Protection System Members.
