NBS statement regarding the interim measure issued on 9 September 2020

On 25 September 2020 Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) issued a press release providing details about an interim measure issued against the insurance undertaking which was formerly called NOVIS Poisťovňa, a.s. and which since 5 April 2019 has operated under the name NOVIS Insurance Company, NOVIS Versicherungsgesellschaft, NOVIS Compagnia di Assicurazioni, NOVIS Poisťovňa a.s. (hereinafter ‘the insurance company’).

As required by the interim measure, the insurance company sends NBS monthly data on its fulfilment of the condition specified in Part I of the operative part of the interim measure (i.e. whether the extent of premium investments from unit-linked insurance contracts invested by insurance company for the benefit of its clients equals at least the level of the surrender value of those contracts).

On the basis of the aforementioned data it has received to date, NBS informs that the condition in question was met for the period from 30 September 2020 to 31 December 2020 and that the insurance company was therefore entitled to conclude new unit-linked insurance contracts in this period as well as in January 2021.
