Deadline for the exchange of Bulgarian lev banknotes

We would like to inform clients and public that 2, March 2026 is the deadline for the exchange of Bulgarian lev banknotes in National Bank of Slovakia, personally at the Headquarters in Bratislava and regional office in Košice[1].

All relevant information regarding the Bulgarian lev banknotes exchange can be found on site The exchange of Bulgarian lev banknotes.

After the date mentioned above Central bank of Bulgaria will exchange the Bulgarian lev banknotes and coins free of charge and without time limit.
