NBS warning about the activity of Grandefex

Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) warns the public about the activities of Grandefex.

Please note that this company is not subject to supervision by Národná banka Slovenska and funds invested with the company are not protected under Slovak law.

Furthermore, NBS has no record of Grandefex as a provider of financial and investment services under the European Union’s ‘single passport’ regime. This means that third parties must not intermediate (sell) services of this company in Slovakia either.

Národná banka Slovenska continues to warn consumers in the financial market to consider carefully before concluding a contract with a financial services provider. Consumers may check the provider against the list of authorised providers published on the NBS website.

Given the rising number of email, phone and other scams (fraudulent schemes), NBS also recommends consumers give thorough consideration to all risks and aspects of any potential investment, including their own financial resources, investment preferences, and ability to bear potential losses.
