NBS warns about a misleading Bitcoin Code advertorial and its misuse of the name of NBS Governor Peter Kažimír

Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) is filing a criminal complaint about the scam trading platform Bitcoin Code for misusing the name of the NBS Governor, Peter Kažimír, in an advertorial.

At the same time, NBS warns the public about the activities of Bitcoin Code, whose website offers Slovak consumers high rates of return on crypto-asset investments.

The Bitcoin Code advertisement is misleading. Websites promoting such trading platforms come and go very frequently and often pretend to be endorsed by well-known figures.
Scam trading platforms may also be presented through other types of online advertisements or promotional articles.
The public are advised to treat any such websites with extreme caution.

Národná banka Slovenska warns consumers that crypto-asset trading is not subject to supervision by NBS and urges consumers to be cautious about such activity.
