Statement from the 13th Meeting of the Bank Board of the NBS

The 13th Meeting of the Bank Board of Narodna banka Slovenska was held on 1 April 2008 chaired by Ivan Sramko, Governor.

The Bank Board of the NBS discussed and approved the Draft Decree of Narodna banka Slovenska on submitting the statements, reports and other reports by the insurance companies and branches of the insurance companies.

The Bank Board discussed and approved the Draft Decree of Narodna Slovenska under which are effected certain provisions of Act on collective investment. The purpose of the Draft Decree is to ensure a full implementation of Commission Directive 2007/16/EC of 19 March 2007 implementing Council Directive 85/611/EEC on the coordination of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS) regards the clarification of certain definitions, namely by adoption of its articles to the text of the provision. The Decree shall become effective on 1 July 2008.

The Bank Board discussed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Financial Supervisory Authorities, Central Banks and Finance Ministries of the European Union on Cross-border Financial Crisis Situations.
