Statement from the 15th Meeting of the Bank Board of the NBS

The 15th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held on 15 April 2008, chaired by Ivan Sramko, Governor.

The Bank Board of the NBS approved the regular Report on fulfilment and process of preparations for the euro introduction in the NBS and the Internal plan of the NBS for the euro introduction. The preparation has proceeded in accordance with the Internal plan of the NBS for the euro introduction and the National euro changeover plan in the Slovak Republic.

The Bank Board of the NBS discussed and approved the draft decree of the NBS on the submission of statements, reports, surveys, and other disclosures by reinsurance undertakings and branches of foreign reinsurance undertakings.

The Bank Board of the NBS discussed and approved the draft decree of the NBS aying down particulars of an application for a prior approval in accordance with Article 45(1) of Act No. 8/2008 Coll. on insurance and on amendments and supplements to certain laws.

The Bank Board of the NBS took note of the Report on activities of the Financial Market Supervision of the National Bank of Slovakia for 2007.
