Statement from the 31st Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska

The 31st meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held today (18 September 2012) and was chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.

The Bank Board discussed the Medium-Term Forecast (MTF-2012Q3), which was subsequently presented at a press conference and will be published on the NBS website.

The Bank Board approved the announcement on the issue of a €100 gold collector coin commemorating the 300th anniversary of the coronation of Charles III in Bratislava.

This euro collector coin will be produced by Mincovňa Kremnica (the Slovak mint) from an alloy containing 90% gold, 7.5% silver and 2.5% copper; it will weigh 9.8 g and measure 26 mm in diameter. Its design is by Karol Ličko. The coin is due to go on sale in December 2012.

The Bank Board approved the Analysis of the Slovak Financial Sector for the First Half of 2012. The Analysis will be presented at a press conference to be held on 27 September 2012, and will subsequently be published on the NBS website.
