Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 10th meeting of 2021
The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (11 May) held its 10th meeting of 2021, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.
The Bank Board approved Decree of Národná banka Slovenska amending Decree No 6/2014 of Národná banka Slovenska on how to demonstrate compliance with conditions for an authorisation to establish and operate a supplementary pension management company. The amending Decree is issued under the enabling provision of Section 23(9) of Act No 650/2004 on the supplementary pension scheme (and amending certain laws), as amended.
The amending Decree responds to changes introduced by Act No 177/2018 on certain measures to reduce administrative burdens through the use of public administration information systems (and amending certain laws) (the Anti-Bureaucracy Act), as well as to the need to align the original wording of Decree No 6/2014 both with current legislation on demonstrating compliance with conditions for an NBS authorisation (following amendments introduced by Act No 109/2018 amending Act No 650/2004) and with Act No 91/2016 on the criminal liability of legal persons (and amending certain laws).
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €10 silver collector coin commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first successful ascent of an eight-thousander (Nanga Parbat) by Slovak climbers.
The coin is made from an alloy of silver (90%) and copper (10%), weighs 18 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Mária Poldaufová and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the coin is due to go on sale in July 2021.
