Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 16th meeting of 2018
The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (21 August) held its 16th meeting of 2018, chaired by Ľudovít Ódor, the NBS Deputy Governor.
The Bank Board took note of NBS’s August 2018 Monthly Bulletin, which will be published on the NBS website.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €100 gold collector coin marking the 400th anniversary of the coronation of Ferdinand II in Bratislava.
The euro collector coin is made of an alloy comprising gold (90%), silver (7.5%) and copper (2.5%); it weighs 9.5 g and has a diameter of 26 mm.
Designed by Karol Ličko and produced by the Kremnica Mint in Slovakia, the coin is due to go on sale in November 2018.
The Bank Board approved a Decree of Národná banka Slovenska which amends Decree No 18/2008 of Národná banka Slovenska on the liquidity of banks and branches of foreign banks and the liquidity risk management process of banks and branches of foreign banks and amending Decree No 11/2007 of Národná banka Slovenska on reporting for supervisory and statistical purposes by banks, branches of foreign banks, investment firms and branches of foreign investment firms, as amended.
The decree aligns the requirements for the application of liquidity ratios laid down in the currently applicable NBS Decree No 18/2008 with the requirements laid down in the EU Regulation on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms and in the Commission Delegated Regulation supplementing that Regulation with regard to liquidity coverage requirement for credit institutions.
The Decree enters into force on 1 October 2018.
The Bank Board approved a Decree of Národná banka Slovenska on the Register of Bank Loans and Guarantees.
The main purpose of the decree is to take account of changes resulting from the Regulation of the European Central Bank on the collection of granular data on credit and credit risk.
The Decree enters into force on 30 September 2018.
