Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 22nd meeting of 2019

The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska’s 22nd meeting of 2019, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír, was held on 18-19 November in Banská Bystrica.

The Bank Board took note of NBS’s November 2019 Financial Stability Report, which will be published on the NBS website and presented at a press conference.

The Bank Board approved the Annual Budget of Národná banka Slovenska for 2020. NBS’s operating budget for 2020 is set at €86.2 million, while a total of €8.5 million is earmarked for investment and €12.3 million for currency issuance.

The Bank Board approved the issuance schedule for commemorative and collector euro coins in 2021. Next year Národná banka Slovenska will issue seven collector coins and one commemorative coin. The issuance schedule for 2021 will be published on the NBS website.

The Bank Board took note of NBS’s October 2019 Monthly Bulletin, which will be published on the NBS website
