Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 3rd meeting of 2025
On 18 February 2025, the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) held its 3rd meeting of the year, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.
The Bank Board approved a report entitled ‘Report on investment policy implementation in the area of NBS investment reserves for 2024’.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a set of three silver collector euro coins under the title ‘Fauna and flora in Slovakia’, with each coin featuring a different animal: the grey wolf, the Eurasian lynx and the brown bear. The coins have a denomination of €3.33 and a .999 purity, weigh 31.3 g, and have a diameter of 40 mm.
Designed by Josef Oplištil (grey wolf), Tomáš Lamač (brown bear; Eurasian lynx – obverse) and Roman Lugár (Eurasian lynx – reverse), the coins are produced by the Pressburg Mint and the set is due to go on sale in April 2025.
