Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 4th meeting of 2025

On 11 March 2025, the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) held its 4th meeting of the year, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €5 base metal collector coin under the title ‘Fauna and flora in Slovakia – the eastern imperial eagle’.
The coin is made from MS63 brass (63% copper and 37% zinc), weighs 19.1 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Tomáš Lamač and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the coin is due to go on sale in May 2025.
