Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 7th meeting of 2025

On 29 April 2025, the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) held its 7th meeting of the year, chaired by NBS Governor Peter Kažimír.

The Bank Board approved a document entitled ‘Assessment of the list of domestic systemically important banks and their capital buffers’. The list of banks in Slovakia designated as ‘other systemically important institutions’ (O-SIIs) and the levels of their O-SII buffers will remain the same in 2026 as in 2025, as shown in the following table:

The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €20 silver collector coin featuring the Kežmarok Heritage Site.

The coin is made from an alloy of silver (92.5%) and copper (7.5%), weighs 33.63 g, and has a diameter of 40 mm. Designed by Karol Ličko and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the coin is due to go on sale in June 2025.
