Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 9th meeting of 2019
The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (2 April) held its 9th meeting of 2019, chaired by NBS Governor Jozef Makúch.
The Bank Board approved the Analysis of the Slovak Financial Sector for 2018.
The Bank Board approved the establishment of the National Stakeholder Group for payment services and systems of the Slovak Republic (NSG Pay – SK).
The purpose of the NSG Pay – SK is to coordinate activities related to the payment systems and market infrastructures operated by NBS and the Eurosystem and to provide information about payment system innovations and their uptake in the Slovak market.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €10 silver collector coin commemorating the 100th anniversary of Comenius University in Bratislava.
The collector coin is made of an alloy comprising 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 18 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Patrik Kovačovský and produced by the Kremnica Mint in Slovakia, the coin is due to go on sale in June 2019.
