Satement from the 20th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska

The 20th meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held today (29 May 2012) and was chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.

The Bank Board approved the Monthly Bulletin of NBS for May 2012, which will be published on the NBS website.

The Bank Board approved the NBS Decree laying down what is understood by untrue or misleading information or by ‘a service or performance unrelated to retirement pension saving’. The decree takes into account developments in the practice of retirement pension saving. It will enter into force on 15 June 2012.

The Bank Board approved the NBS Decree on how to demonstrate compliance with conditions for the issue of an authorisation to establish and operate a pension funds management company. The decree lays down and specifies how to demonstrate that the conditions for the issue by NBS of an authorisation to establish and operate a pension funds management company have been met in accordance with Article 48(2)(a) to (o) of Act No. 43/2004 Coll. on retirement pension saving, as amended. The decree will enter into force on 15 June 2012.

The Bank Board approved the NBS Regulation on how to demonstrate compliance with conditions for the issue of an authorisation to establish and operate a supplementary pension management company. The regulation lays down and specifies how to demonstrate that conditions for the issue by NBS of an authorisation to establish and operate a supplementary pension management company have been met in accordance with Article 23(1)(a) to (n) of Act No. 650/2004 Coll. on supplementary pension saving, as amended. The regulation will enter into force on 15 June 2012.
