Statement from the 36th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska

The 36th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held today (8 November 2011) and was chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.

The Bank Board discussed and approved the NBS Decree on the method of determining the value of assets in a standard common fund and in a public special common fund and the method of calculating the value of the share of unit certificate issues in common funds in which there is more than one unit certificate issue.

In line with the recently-approved Act No 203/2011 Coll. on Collective Investment, which allows new types of assets to be acquired for common funds’ assets, this Decree describes a method for determining the value of all assets acquired for common funds, as well as for calculating the value of the share of unit certificate issues in common funds in which there is more than one unit certificate issue.
The Decree will enter into force on 1 December 2011.

The Bank Board approved the document entitled “Assessment of the Results of NBS’s Investment Reserves Management and of the ECB’s USD Portfolio and Covered Bonds Portfolio Management for the Third Quarter of 2011”.

The Bank Board discussed and approved the NBS Decree amending NBS Decree No 1/2011 on the Register of Bank Loans and Guarantees.

The amended Decree lays down, inter alia, the fee for the provision of data from the Register of Bank Loans and Guarantees to customers of the following: banks, branches of foreign banks, and the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic.

The Decree will enter into force on 1 December 2011 with the exception of provisions on software necessary for the operation of the register, which will enter into force on 1 March 2012.
