Statement from the 5th meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska
The 5th meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held today (12 February 2013) and was chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.
The Bank Board approved the announcement on the issue of a €10 silver collector coin commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Jozef Karol Hell.
The euro collector coin was designed by Mgr. art. Roman Lugár and will be produced by the Kremnica Mint from an alloy containing 90% silver and 10% copper; it will weigh 18 g and measure 34 mm in diameter. The coin is due to go on sale in May 2013.
The Bank Board approved the announcement on the issue of a €2 commemorative coin to mark the 1150th anniversary of the arrival of the mission of Constantine and Methodius to Great Moravia.
The commemorative euro coin will have the same technical parameters as normal €2 coins and will be legal tender in Slovakia and the rest of the euro area. The coin was designed by Mgr. art. Miroslav Hric, ArtD. and will be produced by the Kremnica Mint.
One million of these euro commemorative coins are to be issued in circulation in May 2013.
The Bank Board approved a Decree of Národná banka Slovenska amending Decree No 180/2012 Coll. of Národná banka Slovenska on methods and procedures for determining the asset value of pension funds and supplementary pension funds.
