Statement from the NBS Bank Board's 15th meeting of 2016

The Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska today (26 July) held its 15th meeting of 2016, chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.

The Bank Board took note of NBS’s July 2016 Monthly Bulletin, which will be published on the NBS website.

The Bank Board approved the “Quarterly commentary on macroprudential policy – July 2016”. In its periodic review of the countercyclical capital buffer rate, the Bank Board decided to increase the rate from 0% to 0.5% with effect from 1 August 2017.

The Bank Board approved a Decree of Národná banka Slovenska on the annual reports and half-yearly reports submitted by pension fund management companies.

The Decree lays down for pension fund management companies (PFMCs) the scope, content, structure and form, and the method and place of submission, of their annual and half-yearly reports on the portfolio management of pension funds and their annual and half-yearly reports on the management of their own assets, being reports that PFMCs are required to submit to Národná banka Slovenska. The Decree also provides templates for the abridged versions of these annual and half-yearly reports, which PFMC are required to publish in national periodicals.

The Decree will enter into force on 15 August 2016.

The Decree will enter into force on 15 August 2016.
