Statement from the NBS Bank Board’s 16th meeting of 2019
The Bank Board took note of NBS’s August 2019 Monthly Bulletin.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €10 silver collector coin commemorating the 200th anniversary of the appointment of Alexander Rudnay as Archbishop of Esztergom.
The coin is made of an alloy comprising 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs 18 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. Designed by Peter Valach and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the silver collector coin is due to go on sale in November 2019.
The Bank Board approved the notification of the issuance of a €100 gold collector coin commemorating Mojmír I, ruler of Great Moravia.
The coin is made of an alloy comprising 90% gold, 7.5% silver and 2.5% copper, weighs 9.5 g, and has a diameter of 26 mm. Designed by Miroslav Schovanec and produced by the Kremnica Mint, the gold collector coin is due to go on sale in November 2019.
The Bank Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding between EU27 and UK banking supervisory authorities.
After being amended by the Bank of England, the Memorandum is being re-approved by its signatories.
The Bank Board approved a Decree of Národná banka Slovenska on reporting by supplementary pension management companies for the purposes of providing information to Národná banka Slovenska and the European Supervisory Authorities.
The Decree stipulates how to comply with requirements laid down by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) through the Decision of the Board of Supervisors on EIOPA’s regular information requests towards NCAs regarding provision of occupational pensions information, and by Regulation (EU) 2018/231 of the European Central Bank of 26 January 2018 on statistical reporting requirements for pension funds.
The Decree takes effect on 30 September 2019.
