Statement from the 21st Meeting of the Bank Board of the NBS

The 21nd Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held on 16 June 2009 chaired by Ivan Sramko, Governor.

The Bank Board of the NBS approved the Draft Decree of the NBS on determination of the value of assets in the pension fund and supplementary pension fund and on amendment of the Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the SR No. 217/2005 Coll. regarding supplementary pension management company own funds and methods and procedures of determination of the value of assets in supplementary pension funds as amended.
The Decree specifies and unifies methods on determination of the value of assets in pension funds and in supplementary pension funds.
The Decree shall become effective on 1 July 2009.

The Bank Board of the NBS approved the Decree of the NBS on offering information regarding assets balance in supplementary pension funds.
The purpose of the Decree is to ensure submission of monthly data to Národná banka Slovenska regarding assets balance in supplementary pension funds managed by supplementary pension management companies in a stipulated way, extent and deadlines in accordance with the methodology for information offering, for the supervision needs and for statistical purposes.
The Decree shall become effective on 1 August 2009.

The Bank Board of the NBS approved the Decree of the NBS regarding the method for determination of the value of assets held by a mutual fund. The purpose of the Decree is to amend in more detail valuation of individual items of assets in mutual fund and at the same time to unify regulations for valuation of assets in mutual funds, pension funds and supplementary pension funds.
The Decree shall become effective on 1 July 2009.

The Bank Board of the NBS discussed the Medium-Term Forecast (P2Q-2009) which was presented in the press conference and is published on the website of the NBS.
