Paper

Paper – the quality of banknote paper is one of the characteristic features that distinguishes a genuine banknote from a  forgery. The banknotes are made of special banknote paper of natural colour, which has several security features, i.e. watermark, windowed security thread or polyester security thread with microtext, and fibres fluorescing under ultraviolet light.

Triple-coloured visible security fibres are incorporated in the paper on the margins of the 5000 Sk banknote. On the front side, on oval gold-coloured higly reflective foil is hot-stamped into the paper, and there is a 23 mm-wide strip with gold-coloured iridescent coating
