Issuance of a license
From 30 December 2024, the MiCA Regulation allows the provision of crypto-asset services only on the basis of a permit from National Bank of Slovakia. The aim of this page is to inform about the procedure in the individual stages of the procedure regarding the application for a licernse to operate as a crypto-asset service provider submitted to the National Bank of Slovakia (hereinafter referred to as the “application for a permit” or “application”). This page is intended for
• interested parties seeking a license to operate as a crypto-asset service provider,
• consultants and legal advisors,
• interest groups operating in the field of crypto-assets.
The information below does not in any way replace the texts of the regulations that apply to crypto-asset business.
The content of the page corresponds to the state of the legislation or draft implementing regulations as of the date of the page update.
A form for submitting an application for a permit will also be available for download on this page. The form will simplify and standardize the application process.
