On 5 October 2017 the Governor of Národná banka Slovenska (NBS), Jozef Makúch, signed a Decision on the results of a public competition for the design of a €10 silver collector coin featuring the spontaneous, non-violent civic resistance to the Warsaw Pact invasion of August 1968. At its meeting on 2 October 2017 the NBS Bank Board again discussed the competition results and approved the design to be used on the coin.
