Transfer of funds at the “bank to bank” level.
It includes the standard credit transfers, direct debits and the so-called high priority credit transfers carried out among direct participants of the payments system (i.e. they do not carry out credit transfers on the basis of their customers’ orders).
The direct participants of the payments system include banks, branch offices of foreign banks, the National Bank of Slovakia or other institutions established according to the special regulation.
Standard and high priority interbank transfers are normally used for the payments of the financial market, payments for monetary operations and other, large-value and highly important, payments (e.g. credit transfers related to standing facilities provided by central bank).
