Transfers of funds carried out by indirect participants (by third parties). An indirect participant is a non-banking entity which has a special position in the SIPS interbank payments system. It does not hold its own account but it is authorized to debit and credit direct participants’ accounts on the basis of their prior written approval.

Indirect participants, according to the current legislation, are auxiliary banking service businesses which facilitate payments and the processing and settlement of data by transfers.
