Payment cards

A payment card enables its holder to withdraw cash from ATMs and pay for goods and services in shops or online.

The statistics include all valid physical and virtual payment cards issued by payment service providers in Slovakia.

Payment cards are divided into debit and credit cards. The number of credit cards also includes deferred debit cards (so-called charge cards).

The number of payment cards shows the status at the end of the calendar month.
