IMAS Portal
The IMAS Portal is the ECB’s electronic communication system used by banks to submit applications for SSM procedures, track the status of these procedures and exchange information with NBS and the ECB. The purpose of the IMAS Portal is to simplify, streamline and digitize the SSM procedures and increase the transparency towards banks on the status of their ongoing SSM procedures.
SSM procedures available through the IMAS Portal:
Significant banks and less significant banks
- procedure for granting prior approval pursuant to Section 28 (1) (a) of Act No. 483/2001 Coll. on Banks and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Banking Act”) for the acquisition of a qualifying holding or to further increase a qualifying holding in a bank,
- procedures for granting a banking authorization pursuant to Section 7 of the Banking Act,
- procedures for granting prior approval pursuant to Section 28(1)(b) of the Banking Act and for the withdrawal of banking authorization.
Significant banks
- – procedure for granting prior approval pursuant to Section 9(4) of the Banking Act for the election or appointment of a member of the statutory body, a member of the supervisory board or for the appointment of a proxy agent, for the appointment of a senior employee, the head of the internal control and internal audit department or a person ensuring the fulfilment of tasks in the protection against money laundering and terrorist financing in a bank,
- – procedure for granting approval to carry out the activities of a financial holding company and a mixed financial holding company pursuant to Section 20a of the Banking Act.
