The pension system

The Slovak pension system comprises three pillars, which will be complemented by the pan-European personal pension product (PEPP).
Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) is responsible for exercising supervision over the second pillar (the old-age pension scheme), the third pillar (the supplementary pension scheme) and pan-European personal pension products marketed in Slovakia.
