Pension insurance (first pillar)
If your only pension coverage is pension insurance under the first pillar – i.e. you are paying pension contributions only to the Social Insurance Agency – the only pension you will receive will be paid by the Social Insurance Agency.
The amount of your first-pillar pension will depend on:
- the number of years worked;
- earnings throughout working life;
- the value of the pension in the calendar year in which you become entitled to pension payments.
