Information on the extension of timings for the reporting of information to EIOPA and the ECB
On 17 April 2020 the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) issued a statement on principles to mitigate the impact of coronavirus/COVID-19 on the occupational pensions sector.
Further to point 6 of the EIOPA statement, Národná banka Slovenska announced that the time periods for the reporting of information by SPMCs to NBS in accordance with Decree No 2/2019 of Národná banka Slovenska on reporting by supplementary pension management companies for the purposes of providing information to Národná banka Slovenska and the European Supervisory Authorities (in Slovak langage only) are amended as follows:
For annual statements for the 2019 calendar year, the statutory time period referred to in Section 4(2)(a) of the Decree is extended from 23 weeks after the year-end to 31 weeks after the year-end (T23 + 8)
For quarterly statements for the first calendar quarter of 2020, the statutory time period referred to in Section 4(1)(b) of the Decree is extended from eight weeks after the quarter-end to 10 weeks after the quarter-end (T8 + 2)
The plan of statements in the Statistics Collection Portal will be amended to show the extension of reporting time periods.
