  • Methodology

    This chart uses a structural macroeconomic model to decompose the real house price growth into the contributions of individual structural factors. These factors capture the interactions between the main sectors in the housing market: firms that supply housing, households that demand housing, banks that provide mortgage credit, and, finally, the macroeconomic (income developments, commodity prices, productivity, external sector) and macroeconomic policy (monetary, fiscal, and structural) environment.
